The Austin Film Festival & Conference offers a space for producers, agents, and screenwriters to come together and showcase screenplays to catapult the scripts towards long term success. The lack of brand identity did not reflect the conference that cultivates creative possibilities.
With all the excitement involved in the festival the existing brand became a bit complex to digest. My approach was to simplify the design by amplifying the craft of storytelling and creating excitement around attracting attendance to the festival. It is not just the writers that get to tell their story, it is also the participants who get to experience it. This gave me the opportunity to explore visual elements and to create a visual connection to the festival and the city.
